ShaveDoctor Sponsors Great Cause
THE LAST GREAT CHALLENGE: The ShaveDoctor recently visited a grooming lounge to train people for a charity challenge.
The ShaveDoctor visited newly-opened Label Professional Male Grooming Lounge in Hanley to teach two men the art of wet shaving.
Mr Sproston aka The ShaveDoctor, has trained people all over the world how to carry out a traditional shave from teaching hair and beauty professionals to showing Joe Public how to shave properly in their own bathrooms..
John Wilton-Davies and Justin Miles, from Exeter are raising funds for the British Heart Foundation in November by setting off on an expedition to reach the South Pole and return fully unsupported, something not attempted to since Captain Scott all those years ago!
They will be shaving every 3 -4 days in extreme freezing conditions with the ShaveDoctor products that will be warmed up to temperatures of around -10 using the camping stoves in their well equipped tent, the products have been tested at around this temperature already and they still perform incredibly offering a comfortable and brilliant close shave.
Shaun Robson, manager of Label in Town Road, said the fund-raisers approached The ShaveDoctor to teach them the art of wet shaving so they could do it en route.
Mr Robson, who uses The ShaveDoctor products at his business and are official stockists, offered his premises as a training base.
He said: "I felt it an honour to be able to support."
Pictured right is what faces the 2 men in November and the scenery will hardly change over 77 days of trekking in -30 conditions..
